Since I was a little lad, I’ve always been involved in some form of team sports or activity. There’s something special about being on a team. Perhaps it’s the camaraderie and close bond that you develop being on the same side. It could also be the fact that there are things you cannot achieve on your own.
The other day, I noticed this group of paddlers going through the motions before taking their row boat out into the creek. Initially, their efforts were uncoordinated and they seemed to be going in circles. But when they settled into a rhythmic timing, and followed the instructions of the lead person, they quickly took off and soon were out in the middle of False Creek.
