Exotic Tropical Fruits

One of the things that I miss most about my birthplace is the abundance of exotic fruits. They come in every shape, color, taste and smell perceivable to mankind. Some are so affordable, you can have them every day; others, can cost you the price of an expensive dinner in a swanky restaurant. Some of these fruits have become extinct and others have made miraculous re-appearances in the wet-markets of South East Asia.

The Bible describes a different kind of fruit, the “Fruit of the Spirit.” Sometimes, these fruit are as elusive as the exotic, tropical variety. It requires careful cultivation and it might take some many years of growth before fruit can be consistently harvested.

You can't tell what it taste like by it's external appearance!

"But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives, he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” Galatians 5:22 (NLT)

It takes 10 years before trees are mature enough to produce fruit.
Some cultivated varieties have high tech designations like "D-24" and can cost $50 per fruit.
