Focus

It’s strange how we miss lots of things in life when we’re too busy or just caught up looking for something else.

There’s an interesting phenomenon that I’ve picked up about people. Have you ever purchased a new car and then you start noticing similar models everywhere you drive. The fact of the matter is that you did not take notice of them because there was no personal interest or connection to it.
Likewise with many aspects of life; we miss out on many wise lessons of life if we don’t value or find a connection with those experiences. My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5
