Boats

'Bumboats' off Singapore coast.
Pleasure crafts - Granville Island, Vancouver
Boats off the Isle of Capri.

I have always lived near the sea all my life; from a tiny Island state at the Southern end of the Malaysian archipelago, to Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia.

The one thing you can’t help but come across near any body of water are boats.

Boats come in every shape, size and colour. Their usage varies from pleasure crafts to ocean going cruise liners. They are found in every corner of the earth.

They make for great photographs but serve a practical purpose in life.
Some thoughts on boats:

When one thinks about boats, the Titanic is the first ship that often comes to mind. This was supposed to the ship that was ‘unsinkable,’ that sank on its maiden voyage.
The Titanic is a constant reminder of the arrogance and frailty of man.
In the Bible, the first disciples of Jesus were fishermen, and they left their nets and boats to follow Jesus.
Boats represent the work of our hands and what we stand for; often God requires us to be willing to give that up in exchange for His work.
